Gotta enslave them all!
Reincarnation Colosseum (Saijaku Skill de Saikyou no Onna-tachi o Kouryaku shite Dorei Harem TsukurimasuTranslation) is a 2022 Shonen manga written by Harawata Saizou and illustrated by Zunta, serialized in Monthly Dragon Age.
Kouji Mikagami is an Ordinary High-School Student with an incredibly high level of skill in games but one night, he was summoned to another world. However, when it's discovered that he has no inherent Skills except for Copy, he is cast aside by the priestess who summoned him and enslaved him as Cannon Fodder in the Colosseum.
But upon realizing that the Colosseum operates mostly on video-game logic, Kouji decides to use his gaming skills to his advantage and rise to the top of this new world he finds himself in.
On October 19th, 2024, Yen Press announced that they would be localizing the series in English for a 2025 release.
Contains the following tropes:
- 0% Approval Rating: The Four Heavenly Kings. They're all incredibly cruel and arrogant, frequently going the extra mile to torment and humiliate their opponents in the ring. The audience openly hates and taunts them but still cheers for them only because nobody else can stand up to them until along comes Kouji to which they switched sides in a heartbeat after he beat Mary.
- An Arm and a Leg: Through an extreme use of Teleportation, Kouji had to sacrifice his arm and his leg in his fight with Alice in order to defeat her. Luckily, healing skills exist so he can get them reattached without issue.
- Anachronic Order: Chapters regularly cut back to the past in the middle of the fights to explain what just happened or is about to happen, rather than reveal the various parts of Kouji's schemes before they become relevant.
- Chekhov's Gun: The quick-acting aphrodisiac that became instrumental in Kouji's fight against Marl to incapacitate her.
- Corporal Punishment: Of the Kinky Spanking variety. After drugging Marl with the aphrodisiac, Kouji repeatedly spanks her right in the middle of their match and eventually bringing her to orgasm in front of the Colosseum's audience.
- Corrupt Church: With a person like Zayd as the chief priestess leading the church, it's not surprising that it's corrupt.
- Crazy Enough to Work: Kouji's strategy to defeat Alice. It's explained that most Spatial Exchange users don't use the skill to teleport themselves due to the extremely high risk of injury or death. This is precisely what Kouji does in order to defeat Alice.
- Creepy Shadowed Undereyes: Kouji is frequently drawn with these as a result of his gaming all-nighters and later three-day sex binges upon winning his battles.
- Death Is Cheap: No gladiator dies in the Colosseum due to revival skills.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Kouji being summoned is directly compared to getting a bad pull in a Gatcha Game.
- Elite Four: The Four Heavenly Kings.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Kouji almost gives in to despair in Chapter 1 over his life being discarded because the people who summoned him treat everything like a game, then he remembers that if life's a game, he's good at it.
- Evil Gloating: Virtually all of Kouji's opponents gloat about how much they'll enjoy beating him, and then transforming him into a girl to rape him.
- Extreme Libido: Thanks to the Aphrodisiac, Kouji frequently has sex for days at a time without stopping for food or sleep.
- Fan of Underdog: The coliseum spectators take a liking to Kouji once he proves to be able to fight, admiring his spunk and become ecstatic when he defeats the Heavenly Kings in increasingly humiliating and karmic fashions. They would complain if they bet on the other person when the odds are insurmountably stacked against Kouji but nevertheless respect him instead of brushing him off.
- Forced Transformation: Male competitors that lose to female competitors are forcibly transformed into women through a gender-changing skill.
- Gender Bender: Male competitors are forcibly turned into women when they lose a fight and female victors are given a potion that allows them to grow a penis temporarily. No explanation is needed for what happens next.
- Finne is actually Zayd's nephew, who got blackmailed over his skill analysis hobby to get his gender changed to a girl and make him fight in the Colosseum. He quite understandably hates Zayd for this.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: When Kouji starts thinking of treating Suzu nicely in order to make it up to her for exploiting her feelings to defeat her, Zulu slaps Kouji and tells him in no uncertain terms that it's too late for him to feel bad or apologize, and that the proper thing to do is to act like an unapologetic villain and rail the shit out of Suzu like the slave she is, if only so that her grudge against Kouji is validated. After all, if he starts doing things half-way just because he feels bad about the things he does, he may end up forgiving Zayd if she should try to use a sob story to beg for mercy.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: After Alice becomes Kouji's slave, Mary forces her to drink the aphrodisiac, making her sexually aroused. Then Marl starts making out with Alice, with Mary joining in later. Same thing happens with Finne after she becomes Kouji's slave, with all the girls joining in on the fun.
- Gladiator Games: The entire plot of the story revolves around this as Kouji being forced to fight for his life in a colosseum, and the audience betting on who would win. Death is not an escape, as he would be revived.
- Heart Is an Awesome Power: The Copy Skill is widely decried by everyone as useless since it only copies the opponent's skill at half strength and does not confer mastery of the skill. Kouji's intelligence allows him to work around the limitations and makes the most out of it, turning the skill into an incredibly potent ability.
- Hermaphrodite: There's a skill that allows women to grow male genitalia.
- Humiliation Conga: All of the Heavenly Kings that Kouji has defeated so far have been subject to this and by extension, so has Zayd, the High Priestess who commands them.
- Mary is forced to strip naked and bow down dogeza-style to Kouji, much to the audience's delight.
- Marl is subjected to Corporal Punishment, specifically Kinky Spanking which brings her to an orgasm in front of the crowd.
- Alice probably has it the worst. First, she is defeated in a fraction of a second with her usual strategy turned against her and by the end, she's so terrified of Kouji that she pees herself.
- Finne is defeated by Kouji in a battle of skills, which is her specialty. Not only that, he defeated her with her skills that were degraded with the copy skill within one shot. For a genius like her, this defeat hits her hard.
- I Have You Now, My Pretty: Pretty much enforced by the Colosseum's rules: both the winner and the loser are forced to drink a vial of potent aphrodisiac before being locked up in the same room with sufficient food and water to survive the night, and the room keys are designed to be impossible to duplicate, ensuring that the pair cannot be interrupted by outsiders. If it is determined after 24 hours that the pair has not had sex yet, they will be forced to take more aphrodisiac for up to an entire week, by which point it will be downright impossible to resist the urge to get laid with the closest person you can find (though the aphrodisiac is so powerful most people break after only a few minutes at best). As Kouji accurately summarizes, it's a "you can't leave the room unless you've had sex" scenario for both parties.
- Inconsistent Spelling: The manga's title falls into this, being listed as both Reincarnation Coliseum and Reincarnation Colosseum across various stores and websites. For what it's worth, the covers have all gone with the former spelling.
- Instant Expert: Averted. Kouji's Copy Skill doesn't confer mastery of the skill he's using, which is part of why it's considered such a useless skill.
- Karmic Rape: The champions that Kouji defeats and later rapes, have raped countless losers themselves, so it's hard to feel too bad for them when the tables are turned on them.
- Likes Older Women: Not that he has much of a choice in the matter, but Kouji is 15 while the Four Heavenly Kings he has defeated are all older than him, since Mary is 26, Marl 18, Alice 19 and Finne 24.
- Love Potion: The standard-issue aphrodisiac given to the fighters after winning a match so no one backs out of the Colosseum terms and conditions. It causes a massive spike in libido for days on end and kicks in quicker for girls than for guys which proved instrumental to Marl's defeat at the hands (or rather spit) of Kouji.
- Made a Slave: At the very start of the first chapter, Kouji is made into a slave because of his lackluster Copy skill, right after he was summoned into another world. This is what kickstarts the whole story.
- Marshmallow Hell: Finne ends up getting her face put between Mary and Marl's breasts after her real personality and gender are exposed.
- Mistaken for an Imposter: When Musashi Sasaki and Suzu are introduced as a samurai and ninja, the crowd boos and mocks them as fakers because they think samurai and ninja are fictional. The crowd eats their words when they demonstrate their incredible speed and skill.
- Naked Apron: Both Mary and Marl greet Kouji wearing nothing but a frilly apron after he defeats Alice. It was Marl's idea, as she expected that Kouji would like it — which he does not deny.
- Neck Lift: Marl slowly strangles Kouji this way to showcase her dominance. However, this just gave him an opening to spit the aphrodisiac in her mouth instead.
- Non-Indicative Name: In spite of the manga's title, Kouji is not actually reincarnated but rather transported to another world by a magical spell.
- Obstructive Code of Conduct: Gladiatorial slaves like Kouji are branded off-screen with a restricted movement skill that makes it physically impossible to leave the fortress city of Dangou, where the story takes place. They can wander the city between fights.
- Older Than They Look: Alice looks like a petite Lolita girl but is in fact actually nineteen years old.
- Poor Communication Kills: Suzu tried to proposition Musashi for sex once, and he refused while telling her that she should save something like that for her wedding, failing to tell her that he wanted to marry her once he became head of his family. Because Musashi was a notorious womanizer back home, their failure to properly communicate their feelings for each other left Suzu with the assumption that Musashi didn't love her back, which couldn't be further from the truth. When Kouji presses that particular button during their match, Suzu is sent into a murderous rage, which eventually results in her defeat.
- Porn with Plot: The plot of the manga is a borderline excuse plot to justify all the Fanservice and smut, but you have to admit the execution is handled extremely well with the 4D-chess moves the protagonist has to pull.
- Power Copying: Kouji's main skill "Copy" allows him to copy the skills of whatever opponent he's fighting at half-strength.
- Rape by Proxy: The rules of the Colosseum state that the winner of a fight has the right to "breed" the loser, with or without the consent of the losing party.
- Sex–Face Turn: Defeating and having sex with both Mary and Marl turns them into his allies, while Alice only barely tolerates him.
- Shout-Out:
- When Kouji learns of his "Copy" skill, he imagines other characters with this ability and silhouettes of Kakashi and Perfect Cell are shown.
- After demonstrating his quick mastery of Suzu's Clone skill (which he admits he only did because he's used to dying repeatedly in games), Kouji loudly thanks FromSoftware while he and his clones strike a "Praise the Sun" pose. The reference completely goes over the heads of the audience.
- Marl's Imagine Spot for what a Combination Attack between her and Kouji would look like includes a Kinniku Buster.
- Slasher Smile: Both Kouji and his opponents frequently sport this whenever they gain the upper hand in a fight.
- Spiteful Spit: Kouji spits into Marl's mouth during their fight as an act of defiance over her request to beg for his life. However, this was actually all part of his plan since he stashed candy with aphrodisiac in his mouth which, once it kicked in, completely threw Marl off her game by the extreme arousal and Kouji was able to turn the tables.
- Stripperiffic: Most of the women's clothing in the story are this.
- Teleportation: Alice's skill, Spatial Exchange, allows her to create a two-meter cube and teleport anything inside of it. Anything intersecting with the boundary of the cube is sliced off.
- Kouji creates this by combining Backstep and Mary's Purgatory Flames.
- Three-Way Sex: Kouji ends up having a threesome with Mary and Marl after he defeats the latter, and later a foursome with Alice and a fivesome after he defeats Finne.
- Time to Unlock More True Potential: After Kouji defeats the Four Heavenly Kings, he meets Desmos, the Colosseum's manager, who vaguely warns him to make sure his new slaves don't become too weak before his next match. From this Kouji realizes that his next match will probably be a tag-team battle, so he decides to spend the rest of the month training the girls. Of course, when the girls hear Kouji brazenly proclaim that he will train them, they misunderstand his words and retort that a scrawny guy like him has no right to say that even if he did defeat the four of them, so instead Mary and Marl offer to teach him swordsmanship and martial arts. Kouji has to clarify that he's talking about training them as "gamers" (read "teach them how to use their skills more creatively").
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: Chapter 9 features a somewhat ugly orc accompanied by two stunningly beautiful companions.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: The Four Heavenly Kings all had several sex slaves. After Kouji defeats them and makes them his slaves, it is not shown what happened to their slaves.
- World of Buxom: With the exception of the flat Alice and the average-sized Zulu, most females have large and even huge breasts.
